At the International Institute for Certified Maritime Crew (IICMC), the Faculty of Nautical Science delivers a comprehensive and future-focused nautical education that integrates regional maritime realities with global best practices.

Introduction to the Faculty

The Faculty of Nautical Science is a distinguished community of deck professionals, master mariners, navigators, and maritime educators dedicated to excellence in nautical training.

Faculty members bring extensive shipboard experience and academic expertise, delivering instruction that emphasizes safe navigation, efficient vessel operations, situational awareness, and regulatory compliance. The faculty actively integrates modern simulation technologies and real-world maritime scenarios to ensure graduates are fully prepared for professional deck roles.

Lead of Faculty

The Lead of Faculty for Nautical Science provides academic and professional leadership across all deck and navigation programs.

This role ensures curriculum alignment with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations and STCW Convention requirements, while maintaining instructional quality, assessment integrity, and operational relevance. The Lead of Faculty works closely with instructors, assessors, and industry partners to uphold international training standards.
